Pleiss' in Stetten am Heuchelberg

I am glad that someone set up a forum for Pleiss family genealogy. I have done quite a bit of research on the Pleiss' coming out of Stetten am Heuchelberg. My g-g-g grandfather was Johannes Pleiss. He was born in Sept of 1793, the fifth child of Lorentz Pleiss and Anna Christina Remmele. I have taken this line back to around 1600 using records from the Mormon Church. I have compiled family group sheets for each generation. I would be eager to share this info with anyone who is interested.

Johannes (John) Pleiss came to America in 1816, and settled in New Albany, IN where he married Anna Barbara Flach. They had eighteen children (fifteen surviving to adulthood), and anyone with Pleiss (or Plaiss, or Blice) roots in southern Indiana probably cam from that family. I have plenty of info on that as well for anyone who is interested.

Look forward to seeing many posts in this forum.
