I think I might be able to help you. Obviously, whithout the Pleiss' first name I don't know for sure, but there was a Johan Michael Plaiss living in Pennsylvania in the early 1800s. He was a younger brother to my g-g-g-grandfather. I noticed one of the children you listed was John M, and it rang a bell. Johann Michael was born Dec 30, 1796 in Stetten am Heuchelberg. If you think this is the guy, I can get you quite a bit of info on his lineage. Just let me know.
