Marie-Contance Plourde, born on 11 August 1797 in St-Andre, Kamouraska, the daughter of Pierre Plourde and Marie-Dorothee Lavoix, and Basile-Raphael Martin, born on 11 May 1786 in La Pocatiere the son of Henri Martin and Marie-Theotiste Guy , were married on 6 November 1815 in St-Louis, Kamouraska, QC. Basile was the widower of Marie-Modeste Cazes, daughter of Jean-Baptiste Cazes and Josephte Sasseville. Basile and Modeste were married in Ste-Anne-de-la-Pocatiere on 22 February 1813. Modeste was buried in Ste-Anne-de-la-Pocatiere Cemetery on 21 January 1814.

Marie-Constance is the sister of my maternal direct line g-g-g grandfather Pierre Plourde.
