Marie Plourde 1947-2010
FORT KENT, Maine - Marie Plourde, 62, died April 25, 2010, after a long battle with cancer. She was born May 15, 1947, in Fort Kent, daughter of Sylvio and Laurette (Pinette) Levesque. Marie enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren. She especially loved working with children at Head Start. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. Marie is survived by her mother, Laurette Levesque of Fort Kent; her loving husband, Roger Plourde of Fort Kent; her daughter, Sonya Roy and her husband, Robert, of New Gloucester; two sons, David Plourde and his wife, Michele, of Delaware and Kevin Plourde of Fort Kent; her brothers and sisters, Maybelline Albert of Southington, Conn., Kathleen Plourde of Enfield, Conn., Sylvia Caron of St. John, Emile Levesque of Ashland, Roland Levesque of Fort Kent, Norman Levesque of Fort Kent, Theresa Plourde of Fort Kent and Stanley Levesque of Bangor; five grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father; and two brothers, Galleon "Jesse" Levesque and Jim Levesque. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no viewing at the funeral home. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial 1 p.m. Thursday, April 29, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Burial will be at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to Maine Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 553, Portland, ME 04112. Arrangements are a service of Daigle Funeral Home, 14 East Main St., Fort Kent.
