1930 Census Salem MA
Plourde, Thomas, 65, m@18, ME/Can/Can, janitor
Corrina, 59, m@25, Can/Can/Can, IM1885 NA
Thomas Jr, 41, S, ME, moulder
Valeda, 27, S, MA, hairdresser
Desjardin, Adda, Mom-Law, 82, Wd, Can/Can/Can, IM1885

Do you have your Pierre's marriage/death information they should list parents??? Confirm all names/dates at least with 2 documents, preferably more.

Remember Birth info is usually given by a parent, marriage by bride/groom [ages do get modified : ), but rarely parents names], death info is the most suspect because the info is only as good as informants knowledge and believe me it is sometimes off. But death certificates many times can lead you to the cemetery your family preferred : ).

**I would start with Salem MA you know they were there in 1930. Try and locate family members deaths record...look in the SSDI.

For the men the WW2 registration was 1942 [on ancestry]

Then see if someone can look for an obituary...those can be a wealth of clues.

**This group is wonderful, but you need to do some preliminary work for them.

**Google Maine Fort Kent Plourde and then use Frenchville for the town....

**Do you have a subscription to Ancestry? When doing searches be VERY open minded...besides the obvious Peter/Pierre...Plourde, Ploorde, Ploode, Plord, Plurd...Spelling was not emphasized when recorded, handwriting hard to read, add in

My family has a surname Mellyn which I found as Mellon, Mallin, Mulline, Maline, Melyne, Mulaine....

If all else to the list with what you know and what you are missing ...someone should help.

Post to the state[s], country, surname lists : )

We are all here for the same purpose and many will lend a hand.
