I am not a relative, but you might find this interesting:
A Plaque in St. Pauls Church, Covent Garden London England:
Sacred to the memory of:
John Bellamy Ploughman, the father,
Who departed this life, at Thorpe in the county of Norfolk, on the 5th day of January, 1832, aged 67, and whose remains were interred, on the 12th day of the same month, in the cathedral church of the same county.
John Bellamy Ploughman, son of John Bellamy Ploughman and Mary Ann his wife,
He died the 31st of December 1811, in the 17th year of his age.The remains are deposited in the vault under the vestry.
Also of six other children who died in infancy.
This plaque was adorned with a crest at the top middle.I can't remember the crest but the motto was 'DUM SPIRO SPERO'
hope this helps
jenna
