Hi Scarlett - we are not-so-distant cousins, because Arthur William Sharron, son of William, was my grandfather! William was a blacksmith in Addison/Vergennes and married Emma Bertha Gaunya (originally Gagné) from Addison VT. In the early 1900s I think the family moved to New Haven CT . Their 10 children were:
Arthur William
Mary Violet (married John Malloy)
Virginia Lucy (or Louise) died age 1 yr 4 mo
Leroy married Mary Lynn
Earl Peter (died as a baby, buried in St Peter's, Vergennes)
Theresa became nun (Sister M. Cecile)
Cecile Theodora (unmarried) became a nurse
Vincent Harold (died as a baby)
Clement Vance

I do not have any info on your grandfather, can you help?

For starters, William Sharron had several brothers and sisters, including a brother Peter and I have recently contacted his great great granddaughter. The Plude / Sharron name problem remains a mystery, although we have a few ideas.
Please contact me so we can share info.
