Hi Carolyn,

I have recieved your message regarding your findings on my wife's grand father, Herbert E. Plumer. We both greatly appreciate your effort!

We know that Herbert Plumer was a resident of New Castle, NH at the time of his death in 1987, according to the SS Death Index.

His first wife, and mother of Charles F. Plumer (my wife's maternal grandmother), was named Bertha Mae Antone (dob 1903) and was born and raised south of Boston in the Cohassette area. My wife's dad, Charles, was born in Brookline Mass on Feb. 9, 1926, and his family resided in Queensbury St. Herbert was a surgeon who apprantly had a distingished carreer at Mass. General Hospital. It is likely that Herbert may have been born and raised in Mass., and retired to NH in 1963 (this is the year that he was issued his ss number at age 62).

Would it be possible for you to check out this possibility as well? If so, we would be very greatful.

Thanks again,

Scott and Jeanette (Plumer) Pakulski
