The best recent summary of which I am aware of what is known of Francis Plumer is found in Robert Charles Anderson's _The Great Migration Begins: Immigrants to New England 1620-1633_ (NEHGS, 1995)pp.1482-6.

Anderson, in his biographical sketch of Francis Plumer says that Francis's origins are unknown. Anderson cites some recent speculation, but says the background of Francis remains unproven. Anderson, as well as Sidney Perley's much older genealogy of this Plumer family [_The Plumer Genealogy_(Salem, Mass., The Essex Institute, 1917] differ in some small matters from what you have posted here. Some birth dates you have, for instance, are given in the Perley book as "about."
