Thanks for your reply! There may or may not be a connection. Yes, I have been looking in both TN, VA and WVA for Samuel M. for years and I just have not been able to connect him to any other Plumlees. I know his family supposedly came from VA to TN but as I said, I certainly haven't found any connection although there have been a number of Plumlees in the area. I have seen his name listed as Samuel Plumer, Samuel Plummer, Samuel Plumley, and Samuel Plumbley. I have identified each of these as one and the same but this has I have been very lucky with my research on my other lines on both sides of my family. But Samuel M. Plumlee is a real puzzle. I was SOOO excited to think that there might be a connection.

If not too much trouble, I would love a copy of your lineage to add to my records for future reference.
