East Tennessee Plumlee Photos

Hello all,

I just put up a new website with some ET Plumlee family photos. I'm fairly new to the genealogy world, but I'm currently beginning to try to find my Plumlee lineage.

Although I haven't done near the work of the people posting on these message boards, I did take about 20 hours to scan some old family photos. You will probably find about 25-30 pictures of my East Tennessee Plumlees, Harringtons and Carmans, and several pictures which I can't identify. My mother and father passed away several years ago, and I believe that all my great uncles and aunts are deceased as well. Most of these are not old-old photos, but may ring a bell with someone.

I check the boards periodically, but I've never seen any reference to a Plumlee line that positively links to my Grandfather, John Plumlee, who married Jessie Margaret Harrington in Knoxville on August 20, 1921. I hope that someone recognizes some photos and contacts me.

The site is located at When you visit the site, the pics are located by using the navigation titles to the left of the page. If you select Genealogy from the home page, you can then find photos under the Plumlee/Myers, Harrington and Unknown titles that appear on that page. Just scroll down and click on the thumbnails to enlarge them. I've scanned them in at 300 dpi to edit, then trimmed down the size a bit for the net - they may load slowly using a 56k connection.

I'd love to hear from my Plumlee cousins, and I hope to make some headway with my research. I'll add things to the site every couple of weeks, so check back periodically. I'm going to post this same message on a few Plumlee/Harrington/Carman boards, so pardon me in advance if you see it on multiple sites.
