According to my Plumlee records, your husband's g-grandfather, John Jasper Plumlee, was a son of Clinton Plumlee and Mary 'Polly' Cherry. The entire Clinton Plumlee family moved from Jackson Co., TN (i.e., now Clay Co., TN) to Franklin Co., IL sometime between 1850 and 1860. Some of the family moved on to other places like Oklahoma later in the 1800's.

My records do not indicate the parents of Lucy Marvel, but her full name was Lucy Jennett Marvel, born 17 Apr 1852 in Franklin Co., IL and died 4 Jan 1892.

If this information is helpful, I can certainly provide a lot more information about the Plumlee family and other associated families.

George Sisco
