I am trying desperately to find the father of my Samuel M. Plumlee born in TN ca 1813 married 1) Vienna Davidson 2) Mary Jane (Jennie) Walker. I have info on children by both wives. They are in Marshall County, KY in mid-1800 and also in Graves County, TN. I have been searching for his father or any of his siblings for over 15 years. I know that another Samuel Plumlee born in Tennesse ca 1791 also lived in Kentucky in Graves County during the mid to late 1800's. His wife Nancy was born in North Carolina and they have at least two children Rachel and Samuel born in Graves County, KY as well. There is also a Jonathan Plumlee b 1789 in Tennesse (married to Helen )living in Graves county KY after 1827 with several children. I have reason to believe that these are related to my Samuel as possibly uncles or cousins but have found no evidence. I am trying to see if I can find parents for any of them for a possible connection. So far no luck.

There are land grants in TN for a Solomon Plumlee in early Bedford Cty TN (1909) and a Johnathan Plumly in 1821, and Samuel Plumlee adm. of Thomas Plumlee, eed, 1824 in Bedford County as well. A widow Rachel Plumlee is listed on the 1830 Census. A Solomon Plumlee was listed on the Bedford County TN tax list of 1812 and in 1820. I just know there is a connection but I don't have a clue.

Does anyone have any suggetions on how I should proceed. I feel I am going in circles on all of this and am so close to making a connection.

Does anyone have any information on my known family or the Bedford County, TN Plumlees.

I would appreciate any help. I tried not to be too lengthy but tried to make sure I gave enough info to identify where each family was in what time frame.
