My mother's maiden name was Rose Ellen Plutchak. She is the daughter of Henry Charles Plutchak. Henry's father Robert was the son of Michael Plutchak who immigrated to the USA in the late 19th century. Michael was the patriarch of the Plutchak family as the name was contrived (I am told to avoid conscription by the Kaiser) in Germany prior to emigrating to the USA. I recently found this family tree info (see web address below) which is extensive although the information is quite incomplete on Michael's son Robert's descendants. Those that remained near the the original homestead near Stephenson and Daggett Michigan seem to have created this document
