H.L. Poage Texas c 1940

This newspaper clipping was found in a bible that belong to Jewel and Myrtle Ford Foster. It's probably c 1940 and may have been a Lubbock or Kermit, TX newpaper:

Some of the vacationers have come back to suffer through our hot summer. Among them are the J.C. Yoakums, who went to Fort Worth, and the H. L. Poage family returned from Amarillo, where they had visited for a few days.

I would like to know who H.L. Poage is and if the Poage family is related to the Starkey, Gentry or Foster families from McCulloch and Brown Co, Texas.
