This is just a shot in the dark. A Robert Poage married one of my ancesters, an Elizabeth Groom, in Missouri sometime before 1816(his oldest son was born in Aug. 1816). Since the Groom family moved from KY and spent time in Howard Co. MO before moving to Clinton Co. MO it is possible. Between him and Bess there were a lot of Poages.
