I do have information on Robert Poage. He was born in Virginia around 1777. He came to Missouri around 1814, possibly before and live at Fort Hempstead in Howard County. It was here that he married Elizabeth Groom on the 12th of November, 1815. Their first child, a son named Greenberry was born at the fort on 26th August 1816. Robert moved his family to Clinton County around or before 1830 for he appears in the 1830 census records of the region. He lived there until his death in Plattsburg, MO on 6th February 1856.

As far as the other two Poage's listed at the forts, I have no info on. They are not brothers of Robert but perhaps they have some other family connection.
