Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

JOYCE: iT APPEARS THAT THE DOCUMENT REFERING TO THOMAS ROLFE'S PETITION IS IN THE MARYLAND HISTORICAL SOCIETY'S ARCHIVES IN ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND. THE PARTICULAR INFO IS IN THE CHANCERY COURT'S RECORDED COPIES OF DOCUMENTS FILED IN CASES ETC AND THE ONE DEALING WITH ROLFE IS CHECKLIST OF INDICES--1634 TO 1777-MSA S1393-20. THIS LIBRARY IS ABOUT A MILE FROM THE CENTER OF ANAPOLIS ON ROWE BLVD. i'M TOO OLD TO GO AND DON'T DRIVE ANYMORE SO I HAVE TO LEAVE IT UP TO SOMEONE ELSE TO VISIT THIS LIBRAARY. wHILE THIS REQUEST IS QUOTED BY MANY WRITERS, MY FIRST FINDING OF IT IS IN THE BOOK, "THE FLOYD DESCENDANTS OF VIRGINIA' BY N.J.FLOYD. HE ALSO TELLS WHY THERE ARE SO MANY VERSIONS OF JUST WHAT THE RELATION OF cLEOPATRE AND NICKETTI WERE. THE MOST 'SCREWED' UP VERSION CLAIMING OPECHANCANOUGH AS CLEO'S HUSBAND AND NECKETTI'S FATHER IS IN THE 'VIRGINIA FRONTIER' BY KEGLEY AND THIS SEEMS TO BE THE ONE MOST PEOPLE PICKED UP ON. \IF YOU CAN GET A COPY OF N.J.FLOYD'S' BOOK, IT WILL EXPLAIN A LOT. ELTON
