Hi! I am so glad to find this website. I see that so many people have done so much research, and I thought maybe someone could help me. Please bear with me. For generations upon generations my family heritage has been believed to have a direct link to Pocahontas. However, last week a guy by the name of David Morenus told me that link is not genuine. He has his own Pocahontas website and is a descendant of Pocahontas. Please look over the ancestry I have grown up with: Pocahontas married John Rolfe and had a son named Thomas Rolfe. Thomas Rolfe married Jane Poythress and had a daughter named Jane Rolfe. Jane Rolfe married Colonel Robert Bolling and had a son named (Major) John Bolling. Major John Bolling married Elizabeth Blair and had a daughter named Judith Bolling. Judith Bolling married Thomas Randolph and had a daughter named Mary Isham Randolph. Mary Isham Randolph married the Reverend James Keith and had a daughter named Mary Randolph Keith (Born in Fauquier County, Va., 1737). Mary Randolph Keith married Colonel Thomas Marshall and had a son named John Marshall (later Chief Justice of the United States). John Marshall married Mary Willis Ambler and had a son named Thomas Marshall. Thomas Marshall married Margaret Wadrop Lewis and had a son named Fielding Lewis Marshall. Fielding Lewis Marshall married 2nd wife Mary Newton Thomas and had a daughter named Eleanor Warner Marshall (my great grandmother). Eleanor Warner Marshall married Harry Tinsley Taliaferro and had daughter Mary Fielding Taliaferro (my grandmother). Mary Fielding Taliaferro married John Michael Steck, Jr., and had a daughter named Mary Marshall Steck (my mother). Mary Marshall Steck married Lewis Preston Collins, III (son of Lewis Preston Collins, II --- Lieutenant Governor of Va.) and had 4 daughters: Twins Cary Fielding Collins and Margaret Preston Collins; Ellen Marshall Collins (Wagner); and Elizabeth Bolling Collins (Blackman) --- me. Cary Fielding Collins has never married. Margaret Preston Collins died at age 7. Ellen Marshall Collins married Samuel Creed Wagner and have 3 children: Marshall Preston Wagner; Samuel Stewart Wagner; and Margaret Fielding Wagner. I, Elizabeth Bolling Collins, married Brian Douglas Blackman and have 2 children: Margaret Catherine Blackman ("Katie") and Alexander Scott Blackman ("Alex"). WHEW!! Now, David Morenus says that Major John Bolling and Elizabeth Blair did NOT have a daughter named Judith. I would like ANYBODY's help in finding out if one of their many children was indeed named Judith. An ancestor wrote a book of our ancestry dating back to Pocahontas, although I don't know the name of it. My mother is sending it to me this week. Has anyone heard of Judith Bolling? We know a Judith Bolling married Thomas Randolph, but maybe she is not a cirect descendant of Pocahontas. Any info would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!
