NC RELFEs not Poca descendants

Pocahontas' only son was Thomas ROLFE b=1615
m=bef.1651 Jane POYTHRESS.

There has been speculation in more recent years that
after Jane died, Thomas moved to North-Carolina,
remarried to a Dorothy & had more children.

The orginal theory was put forth in an 1985/08 article,
"Descendants of Pocahontas: an Unclosed Case"
by Elizabeth Vann MOORE & Richard SLATTEN published
in the `Magazine of Virginia Genealogy' v23 #4 p3-16.

But this appears NOT to be the case after all.

Dorothy married a Thomas RELFE who was born in 1645,
so he is too young to be the son of Pocahontas.
This one's father who was also named Thomas RELFE
would be the right age, however he was married to
Elizabeth WOODLEY.

So that would seem to put an end to that theory.
