Hi:

In my research of the Bland Family connection to Pocahontas I found that to be directly related to Pocahontas you must be able to trace your ancestry directly back to John Bolling of Cobbs on the Appamattox near Petersburg, Va. John who was born January 27, 1676 and married Mary Kennon.

John was the only son of Col Robert Bolling and Jane Rolfe, the grandaughter of Pocahontas who died giving birth to John Bolling.
