My grandfather, Harold Lee Pocklington, was born in Arizona or New Mexico. He settled in Algonac, Michigan. He passed on in the late sixties, survived by sons Harold, James, Robert and Herbert, and daughter Dorothy. There has been some speculation that the family tree can be traced to a Sir Robert Pocklington, who adopted an illegimate son from the royal family. I can provide some further evidence to any wishing to contact me directly.
