My grandfather and my fathers names were both Peter Podolski. They were from Alytaus in Lithuania. They came to America sometime around 1890 - 1900 and settled in Detroit Michigan. They are Catholic. I have read that the origins of the name were spelled with the y at the end. Also the name refers to geographical landscape of the place where these people were from. Is there also a Podolsk city in Russia. This is all I know. But am interested in communicating with you and others interested in this family. Thankyou for starting this site Ilya since you are the first person here.
