Hi, I wonder where my surname fits in PODSKALNY/PODSCALNY? The family reportedly immigrated to Canada from the Ukraine between 1898 & 1908. They settled in the Rainy River, Ontario area. There were two brothers I know of who came to Canada, Mike (would that translate from Mikhail?)and Dymtro Podscalny (variants from the "c" to "k"). Mike had six children, Tillie, Ivan, Bill, Frank, Phyllis and Brownie. Dymtro was married to Mohalina Hrapchuck ?? and came to Canada with two children, Marie & Doris (both born in the Ukraine), then later came Vannie, Walter, Maurice, Rose and Andrew (born in Rainy River). I believe Dymtro was born in 1871 somewhere in the Ukraine. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.
