Hi Jon ,
My name is Danny Poffenbarger. What larry King wrote is for most true Buffenbarger and Poffenbarger are related by blood . Most Poffenbarger couldn't read and it seems because . You ought to see the census the way it was prononced I think is the way it was written down . There so many ways I found our name spelled . There is a book in Washington County ,Maryland by Georgia Randall has the family history in it . The only way to look at it is to go to Maryland or write to the Library and get a Genealogist to copy it for a price . I never got it copied because they couldn't tell me how much it would cost .There is another one the by Roger E. Steven grandson of Stella (Poffenberger)Huffman in the same library . You can go on line and write to them and ask a Genelogist to copy it for you if you want.
I have a lot of information my self but I'm still trying to fill in also . I'll share my family information if you want keep in mind we are distant relatives and like it hard to tie family together . But one day I'll find the piece to mine that will tie everyone together . There is a book I found is a lot of help It is Schwarztrauber,Stewartand Related families . I found it on in their library .
Danny Poffenbarger
