Pogojeffs - from Kaluga, Russia or Harbin, Manchuria

Since no-one else has bothered to start a Pogojeff family forum, I figured I would. My maternal grandfather was Vassili Ivanovich Pogojeff. His family was from Kaluga, Russia, but moved to Harbin, Manchuria before WWI. They ived there until after the Japanese invaded and at various points between 1931-1949, various members of the family moved to San Francisco. My great-grandparents were Ivan Georgievich Pogojeff and Proskovia Novotorova. They went back to Russia before WWII with some of my grandfather's siblings and all of them died there, most at the hands of the Soviets or Nazis, so we have no known Pogojeff relatives in Russia. If anyone has any info on this family, or is connected to it and wants info on it, please reply!
