Thank you so much Theresa. Until three months ago, I was living in Pulaski over in Giles County and I was in Columbia, Maury County several times but I was researching my Oakley kin who were from that county and I was told there was a book on the Pogue family in Maury County but they could not find it. So most of what I have on the Pogue's in Maury County was what I was able to find in the Giles County library.

You just cleared up several questions that I had on the Pogue's in Merkel and Breckenridge Texas. My mother always wondered about the Pogue's in Merkel while she was linging in Ballenger, Texas and when she found a family living in Breckenridge she had to tell me to look for them. She passed away in 1997 but I still keep looking for the parents of her grandfather Hugh Mason Pogue. Her mothers name was Minnie Ella Pogue and she had two brothers named Alby Craven Pogue and William Bradley Pogue. I keep looking for those names in other Pogue families thinking that may help find her grandfathers connection.

Thanks for you information. It helps me rule out several Texas Pogue's.
