Hi Joyce,
This must have slipped by me and I didn't get back to you. Sorry! James Pogue that married Flora Hartman, was the son of Franklin Poage/Pogue and Margaret Jane Lee. I am connected to the Lee side of this family. Margaret Jane was born about 1836/1837 in VA-possibly Berkeley Co., VA/WVA. She is the daughter of my 4th GGrandparents-Alfred R. Lee, b. 1811/1812 in Frederick Co., VA-to George Lee and Mary Ridgeway. Alfred R. Lee married Sarah Stookey/Stuckey in Oct. 1832 in Berkeley Co., VA. Sarah, b. 1811/12 was the daughter of Simon Stookey/Stuckey and Hannah Riner.
Margaret Jane Lee had a sister, Susan Ann Lee, b. abt 1838/1839, who married Franklin Poage's brother, William E. Poage, in Delaware Co., IN. Margaret and Franklin were married in Delaware Co., IN., also. William E. Poage died early. (We believe he fell out of a barn he was building and was killed.) Later, Susan married Phillip Cochren.
Margaret and Susan had a brother, Thomas Jefferson Lee, b. 1833/34-who was my 3rd GGrandfather. Margaret and Franklin lived in Jay Co., IN. Susan and Phillip are found in Delaware Co-along with Alfred and Sarah. And my Thomas went to Poweshiek Co., Iowa and this is where he died.
If I recall-Franklin and William are the son's of James Poage and his wife Mary-Franklin and William were born somewhere in Ohio. I have a couple of other children for Franklin and Margaret, if you don't have them. Let me know and I will find the rest of my info.
Hope this is helpful,
