Jim:

I am looking for information on the family of my great-aunt by marriage, Sarah 'Dolly' Anderson Hunt. I have that her mother was Nancy 'HALLOWAY', daughter of Almerine HALLOWAY and that there was a son in the family by the name of Jeremiah who was born about 1842 in Tennessee. In the 1860 census this family was living in Lawrence Co., Green/Greene Township, Missouri, my home area which is northeast of Newton Co., MO and in southwest Missouri. In the 1870 census the family was just east of Lawrence Co. and in Greene Co., MO (Springfield). In the 1880 they are in Barton Co., MO which is north of Jasper Co. which is just north of Newton Co. Could this be your family?

The first wife of my g-uncle by marriage, Merrit C. Hedrick, was Sarah Ann POGUE SHAVER who was born in 1839 in Indiana and was the daughter of Archibald POGUE. Would these be connected to your POGUE family?
