I am researching John Pogue, b. abt 1866 in Canada. He states on the 1920 U.S. Fed. Census of Michigan, that his father was born in Canada, his mother in Ireland. John is married to Annie(nickname?)they married in Canada. I do know that Annies mother was Hattie(nickname)Haines(according to 1930 US fed. Census)I have no information about where he came from in Canada. I know that his family was friends of the McConkeys and Nallys, The Richard McConkeys came through Canada(Wellsley, Ont.Cn) to Michigan . They stopped in Canada long enough to have 9 kids. Richard McConkey filed on land in Michigan for Homesteading. So did John Pogue and Peter (Mc)Nally. That is it, all I know. I hope that someone can help me with this little bit of info.
