Actually, Kalusz is currently in the Ukraine, but was part of the Austrian Empire before 1919. From the Wikipedia: Kalush (Ukrainian: Калуш, Polish: Kałusz, Yiddish קאַלוש, translit. Kalush or Kalish) is a city set in the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains, in the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast (province) of western Ukraine.
