Are you talking about Adolph Moriz Pohle? He was was born July 29, 1866. Died December 25, 1957. His parents were Carl Rudolph Maximillian Pohle and Louise Marie Walther. He was the second born of 10 children, including my great-grandmother Bertha Ellen Laura Pohle. Adolph's brother Max Malta Pohle lived on Long Island so that puts some of the family in the New York area. If this sounds like your Adolph I can tell you lots about Adolph's father Carl. He's got quite a story.
