We may have something here, my greatgrandmother's name was Maria Christine Hilvers who married a John Henry Linger.
Her dates are 1844-1907, but her husband lived to 1927. Their daughter, Mary Anna Linger married Henry Pohlman,my grandfather.
In fact going to visit Pohlmans in Delphos would have been appropriate since one of Maria and John Linger's other daughters married a Pohlman too. The Pohlmans were farmers, dairy and grain farmers. Your Hilvers had a Maria in her name, but in those days using Marie, Maria, Mary was common........Maybe your Maria Anna and my Maria Christine were sisters. Also note that mine named their daughter Mary Anna.
