Hi Rudi,

Good to here from you. Actually, I've been able to clarify some of the information since I posted the message. It was actually my great grandmother who was married twice. Her maiden name was Eliza (Louisa) Petring, born 08 Apr 1835 in Mellen, Osnebruck, Hanover, Germany. She died in Union Missouri on 19 Feb. 1922. Her first marriage was to Henry Boetcher (various spellings including Beatcher). They had three children, Henry Jr., Caroline (m. Henry Hollman) and, Lovina (Louisa), (married Christian Detmer). She married my greatgrandfather, Casper Heinrich Pohlmann in 1856 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born in Prussia in 1828 and died in Union in 1912. I have no idea what area of Prussia he came from or when he emmigrated to the United States. Eliza and Casper had 7 children together, Anna, John, Louis, Mathilda, Katy, Ida and Otto. My grandmother Ida, her son, daughter, son-in-law and grandson visited my grandfather's family in Germany in 1932. I think they may have visited her family at the same time, but I'm not sure. I don't know all the areas of Germany they visited, but I do know they were in Frankfurt and in Luneburg.

If any of this is of interest to you, please let me know.

Thanks for replying.

Henry Lau
