Jewish connection???

I may be completely out there but I have often wondered if anyone knows if the Pohrman family was or is Jewish? I have done some research on the surname itself and lo and behold there are many derivatives of the name in the Hebraic/Yiddish language. I have also noted that many of the Oregon and Washington Pohrman's immigrated from Germany mostly to Wisconsin and then later migrated West. I am a Pohrman and my grandparents given names were very Hebrew? It certainly makes no difference I was just curious and fascinated by the notion. If there is anyone who may have wondered as well please drop a line, I would love to satisfy my curiosity once and for all!
