My grandfather, Stefan Polacek, came from Gbely,Slovakia in 1887. His family goes back into mid 1700's in Gbely (Egbell, Hungary)..There aren't many with that surname around the states...it was often Americanized. There is a huge Polacek convention every year in Prague area. Name means "Polish Jew" or "Little Pole".
