Hi Fred,
Here is hyperlink to a web site that has the translation of given names to various languages.

Andrew translates in Polish to Andrezej, Andrzejek, Antol, Jedrek, Jedrus and Jendrzej.
There is not a central clearinghouse of Polish records in Poland. In fact, all of the polish vital records are filed the “old fashion way”, by City/Town/village and by religion. Therefore, to locate any Polish records for Andrew Pyzynski, you must first establish his EXACT ancestral home and religion (you already indicated he was Roman Catholic) from U.S. records. Once that has been determined, the next step would be to locate the appropriate local parish and/or civil records in Poland. If you are lucky, the Church of the Later day Saints (LDS) will have microfilmed those records and you could rent and view them at one of their satellite libraries or through your local public library.

If you are not lucky, then you will have to write the Polish church or local record-keeping officials. Here is a hyperlink to a Polish letter-writing guide:

No, the Vatican does not have a central database of all of it’s baptized (although that would be a good idea).
Finally, this is a very active Forum, and there are experienced researchers both here and in Poland, who are standing-by and ready to provide you with any assistance.
Good luck in your research.
Best regards,
Norbert
