This is my first time posting in a genealogy forum. After reading other postings, I realized I should give more information. Peder Javorsky (Javorschie) Pannie is listed on the census records of Besser, Holbaek, Samso, Denmark in 1834 as Peder Javoschi Pannie. 1840 as Peder Pedersen Pannie. 1850 as Peder A Pannie from Polen (Poland). He is listed as a fisherman. His first child was born 2 January 1808 in Besser. His wife, Mette Kirstine Rasmusdatter was married to Neils Aagard, but the father was announced as Peter Javoshie, the same with the second child, (my ancester) Jan Peter. (On the census records this child is listed as Jan Peter Pannie.) After the third child is born, we find a marriage record for Peter Javorsky and the widow Mette Kristine Rasmusdatter - 25 November 1814. They eventually have 8 children. On the later children's birth records, Peder is listed as Peter Pannie or Peder Javorsky Pannie. It also says in the earlier children's birth records that he was in the 6th company, 2nd battalion of the Fynske infantry regiment. Later he is listed as a small farmer. His death date in Besser is 29 January 1859 - there his name is Peder Pedersen Panny Janosky. We seem to be at a dead end with this research. I am just a beginner and have pieced together research that was done decades ago by my grandmother. It seems to me that to go any further, I need to know where Peder came from in Poland. Are there any clues in that information that would help me? I am also wondering if there are any military records that would give any answers. I would appreciate so much any help or advice anyone can give me. Thanks, JoLyn Day Notify Administrator about this message?
