Thank you all for all of the valuable info that you sent my way. I was able to locate Andrew Pysynski (Andrzej) I even located (with your wonderful help)his record at Ellis Island and have ordered that. Based on this info, I was able to find his father and another Pysynski, who I think is his brother. I even found a decendant in the phone book and am going to call him this weekend and see what he can tell me. I found Andrew's wife, Francis Varladki, who I am tracking down now. I haven't done much with her, since I am a little overwhelmed with all the info. It takes me a day or two to sort it all out.
On another note, I am a teacher and I keep thinking to myself what wonderful way this would be for kids to experience and personalize history. I know a lot about history because it interests me and I read alot. I think this could be a tool for turning kids on to history and reading. As I find various people, I wonder what made them move. This week, started reading some info about Polish History--it's fascinating. I would love to make this a class at my high school. Have any of you heard of anyone doing this?
