Hi Voyteck,
"Acapulco Gold”:)" huh?I like a person with a sense of humor...that made me laugh out loud! :):)
I also noticed the age difference on that ship manifest for Louis -- 22 vs 38 is a huge difference for sure.I don't know of any other source that could either verify or disprove the age issue, do you?
"Until you check out these four microfilms, (st Geroge, Berlin) the above remains only assumptions."
Voyteck, do I request the 4 microfilms, (st George, Berlin) from the LDS or do I have to request them directly from some place in Berlin? If Berlin, can you give me a contact address as I have no clue where to start on that one?
Re: Johanne......I find her on the 1860 US Census and again on the 1865 MN Territorial Census but nothing after 1865.I figured she must have either been killed in the 1862 Dakota Sioux uprising in Minnesota or she married. As it turns out, I came across the 1870 US Census in which she was listed with her husband Robert Heinze and younger brother, Albert, then 11 yrs old. Also, listed on that same census was ElizabethHoffenbrodel Bolte and Henry Bolte. They were living in the same town in Minnesota.I will have to obtain her death certificate either from the county she died in. She was 28 when she died. The Minnesota Historical Society only has death records back to about 1900.
I also have discovered two sisters of Freidrich, Johanna Charlotte - b: 2 Feb 1814, married Freidrich Braunn 2 Aug 1835; and Louise Freiderike - 19 Jul 1808, married Gottlieb Klebba 28 Nov 1833.All three born to Adam & Marlise Hoffenbrodel.Get this, there was also a son, Adam, born about 3 months before they were married. That was a little "oops" by the looks of things.
I did send an email to a man by the name of Bob Worgul here in the US and he is checking out the information I sent him on Marlise Worgul to see if she is a part of his branch of the Worgul family.
Now I have to get busy and start requesting birth certificates of the US born children to see how many I can find and I need to do some updating on the family chart.Copies of death certificates seem to be an easier task than finding birth certificates.Finding out which county or city the certificate might be kept is the trick on the birth certificates.
I also was not aware of the wife and children under 21 automatically becoming naturalized citizens.Good information to know.
All of this research is so interesting to me and what's even greater is the fact that I've run into a lot of helpful people.Thank you.
If I find out any additional info, I will let you know.
Take care, Voyteck!
Lynn
