According to his 1942 death record Leo Janicki was born 3 April 1891 and his immigration year is shown as 1910 on the 1930 U.S. Census. That would make him 19 years old on his arrival date of 22 August 1910.

I think the Leon Janicki from Fogoszelle, Russia, could be the same as Leo B. Janicki from Grechowo, Poland. I have also seen Leo's birth year listed as 1892 and also my wife's cousin did pedigree research of her own and here is what she came up with:

Leon Janicke
April 3, 1892
Married 11/19/1919
to Matha Romps
Chicago

Leon Janicke's parents: Thomas Janicke (Russia) and Mary Nawrocka*.

*I couldn't find a Mary Nawrocka linked to Leo Janicke. All info shows a Catherine "Nawrocni" (spelling?) as his wife.
