Hi Lawrence,
Following the help of our forum best friend Norbert I want to add:
In your family origin very old Polish small town Kcynia are still living in the present-day Poland:
Halina Marczak, Kcynia, Poland
Zbigniew Marczak, Kcynia, Poland
Ludomira Bystra, Kcynia, Poland
Source: Polish census 2002.
And this confirms the Kcynia is the right one, you may have it, but here is the hyperlink to this town with Polish Wikipedia with the image of the family ancestral church, where your Victoria Marczak was baptized in the 19th century:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kcynia
Good luck in your search!
Tad
