DziÍkujÍ bardzo!!
(Nie mowie dobrze po polsku).

My Grandfather Jozef Czeglis always said he was from Wilno but his Ellis Island Record says he came from Dusmiany. I still have to locate the Roman Catholic office for possible birth records from Dusmiany. I wrote to Lithuania and asked about Dusmenys but I do not think it is the same village!

Tak sadze.I have also found a few Czeglis in New York in 1900's who list Suwalki as their last address. I will write to the address you kindly provide and pray they have an answer. I trust that he listed Bakalariski correctly as last residence in his application for USA citizenship.

I am in New York and have not made much progress on this surname yet. The spellings and the change in Poland's land borders has made this a challenge!

Do widzenia,
Deborah
