I am also a direct decendent of the Polattys. My Great-Grandfather was James Pleasant Polatty (1826-1900) who lived in Saluda County S.C. His third wife was Susan Jane Marbut(1845-1901.) He died in 1900 in Saluda. His wife died April 22, 1901. I am not certain if she was still living in Saluda or not. They are both buried in the Dorn-Polatty plot, however no one is exactly sure where that is. I am hoping someone with Polatty ties may know. I have a feeling it is somewhere between Saluda and McCormick, S.C. but it is only a feeling, no proof.

Would love some serious input on this matter.
My Grand-Mother was Minnie Lou Polatty Rawls. She was next to the youngest of the girls that lived.
