There may be a connection. Our James Pole was born in West Penard, England and of his origins, I only know that his fathers name was John Pole (Herdsman) and his mothers name was Mary Collick (obtained from his death certificate). As to whether he had brothers or sisters etc I have not got any further with this. If this Willaim Pole was also born in West Penard, England he may be a brother. Each generation of the James Pole family has got a William somewhere, also Henry is popular. Hope this may help you. James & his wifeMary migrated to Australia in approx 1852.
