Pole/de la Pole 13th century

Looking for information on 13th century de la Poles. I have an Owain ap Griffin de la Pole, born 1257, who married Joan Corbet. Their daughter, Hawise de la Pole was born in 1291 and married John de Cherleton.

Does anybody have information on these early de la Poles? Did the de la Poles become "Pole" later in history? Any information would be appreciated.
