Don't know if this fits in with your family, but here goes: My Dad's father was John Pollack (I don't know about a middle name), I know that my dad was born in Farrell (northern suburb of Pittsburgh). John was married to Ida Rabinowitz. He died about 61 years ago of a heart attack while playing basketball. Good luck.
