Pollack- Pollak? meaning?

My great great grandmother's maiden name was Pollak. Is this a form of Pollack? I've heard that Pollak meant a Polish person, is this true? Does anyone have any records of Lillian Pollak, born in Hungary, married to Alexander Rosenbaum? Thanks!!
-Liz
