Hi Susan,
My husband's grandfather was Charles Polak, son of Vojtech (Albert) Polak and Rozalie Simon. Charles married Blanche (Blasena Filipi). They had three children: Charlie - who died as a small child, Leonard (my husband's father) and Betty Polak Wiche. Leonard died in 1981, but Betty is doing well, living on a farm near Munden Kansas.
We visited the Czech Rupublic last month and were able to visit Kardosava Recice, the town where Vojtech (Albert) came from. We found a WWI memorial listing five Polak's.
We do not have any old pictures, but took quite a few pictures of Kardasova Recice. I could send you a picture of the memorial on e-mail attachment if you would like. I also will be displaying my pictures on Shutterfly - just have not had time to get them digitally organized.
My husband remembers his Aunt Barbara Brabec. He visited her when he was a child.
