My mothers family is from Barren, Metcalf Counties in Kentucky, her maiden name is Polson. Her father was Ernest Polson born in Knoblick, Ky., in 1895. His father's name was Johnny Polson. There was at least six children in this family.

Johnny Polson b.@1875 m. Cherokee Indian

c. Della Polson m. Goodeau (1 son)
c. Ernest Polson m. Gracie Spencer (1 daughter) m Anna Crabtree (2 sons)
c. Aaron Polson m. Lovie Jolly (2 sons)
c. Ethel Polson m. Billingsley (lived in Arkansas)
c. Jimmie O Polson m. Ledgie ? (lived in Florida.

There is a family cemetery that is located in Metcalf County. This is where my ggrandfather and his brothers are buried.
There was another Polson by the name of George Washington Polson that had 18 children that is also buried there. These are my mothers cousins.

There may be a connection between your Polson's and mine. I have not been able to research the name back any farther than 1875 at this point.

Let me know if you think there is a connection.
